Related gauges for E26 caps:
1. Go gauges for caps E26, E26/50x39, E26/51x39 & E26d, 7006-27D-3;
Purpose:
To check the maximum dimensions of the screw thread and dimension T1 minimum of E26, E26/50x39, E26/51x39 or E26d caps on finished lamps.
Testing:
When the cap on a finished lamp has been screwed into the gauge as far as it will go, the centre contact shall touch surface X. When the lamp is removed from the gauge, at least two full turns shall be required to disengage the threads.
2. Gauge for testing contact-making of lamps fitted with caps E26, E26/50x39, E26/51x39 & E26d (non-skirted), 7006-29-3;
Purpose:
To check lamp dimensions for contact-making in E26, E26/50x39, E26/51x39 or E26d lampholders.
Testing:
The shape of the lamp with regard to the fit in the lampholder is assumed to be correct, if the lamp can be pushed into the gauge until plane W reaches plane V or projects beyond it.
For E26/24 capped lamps, when surfaces V and W are coincident, the top of the cap including any solder or conductive material, shall not extend above surface X.
3. Gauge for caps on finished lamps for testing protection against accidental contact E26d, 7006-29A-2;
Purpose:
To check protection against accidental contact of caps E26d on finished lamps.
Testing:
When the lamp has been pushed into the gauge as far as it will go with the side solder of the cap located in the recess provided, surface W of the plunger shall not project beyond surface V.
4. Gauge with reference diameter of 23mm for caps E26d, 7006-29B-2;
Purpose:
To check dimensions Smin., Smax., S1min. and S1max. of caps E26d.
Testing:
When the cap (or lamp) has been pushed into the gauge as far as it will go, surface W of the plunger shall project beyond surface Y, but for unmounted caps, shall not project beyond surface X.
For caps on finished lamps, surface W shall not project beyond surface V.
5. Gauge with reference diameter of 13.2mm for caps E26d, 7006-29C-2;
Purpose:
To check dimensions Cmax. and C1max. of caps E26d.
Testing:
When the unmounted cap has been pushed into the gauge as far as it will go, surface W of the plunger shall not project beyond surface X. For caps on finished lamps, surface W shall not project beyond surface V. In this instance, the cap shall be so positioned that the solder on the intermediate contact is located in the recess provided in the gauge.
6. Gauge with reference diameter of 10.4mm for E26d caps on finished lamps, 7006-29D-1;
Purpose:
To check dimension C1min. and T1min show on sheet 7004-29 and the maximum dimensions of the cap thread.
Testing:
When the lamp has been screwed into the gauge as far as it will go, the surface “W” shall not be co-planar with or project beyond surface “V”. After this test, at least two full turns of the lamp shall be required to disengage it from the gauge.
7. Not go gauge for caps E26, E26/50x39, E26/51x39 & E26d, 7006-29L-4.
Purpose:
To check the minimum outside (major) diameter of the screw thread, dimension d, of E26, E26/50x39, E26/51x39 or E26d caps on finished lamps.
Testing:
When the gauge is placed over the thread of the cap on a finished lamp, held cap uppermost, the central contact shall not project beyond surface X.
Only the weight of the gauge itself shall be used in the test.
